Affirm

To add Affirm bills, there are a few different methods:

  • Method/Spinwheel:  You can "push" payments to the lender using the "Add Account" -> "Liability" and seeing if Method/Spinwheel has discovered the lender yet. If so, it will create an Object/Pod on your Sequence Map that you can add to exsiting Sequence Rules and will directly/automatically pay Affirm.
  • Add as "Manual" Liabilities: You can allow Affirm to "pull" payments from a Sequence Pod. When adding a liability, choose "Connect Manually", and this will use Plaid/Fincity to fetch the current balance, minimum payment, statement balances, and APR (if published) and add these to the Pod for easier reference. Next, you'll add the ACH (or debit card) details in Affirm, and Affirm will be able to draft payments directly from the Sequence Manual Liability Pod. To fund the Manual Liability Pod, you can add this to your existing rules such as "Top-up", "Pay minimum amount", "Pay statement balance", "Transfer fixed amount" and more.
  • Use normal Pods: This is a basic way and similar the digital envelope system. Create a Pod such as "Affirm Payments", and begin allocating funds to it as you normally would. Log in to Affirm and provide the Routing/Account numbers or Debit card to allow Affirm to draft payments directly from the Sequence Pod.
