This can be frustrating but here's a few options you can try:
- Confirm the phone number listed on your profile at the bank is correct and not confusing home and mobile numbers .
- Confirm if there is an email address listed as another contact option
- Try the phone call or email options to receive the code (this is often the easiest option to get connected)
- Many banks use SMS short codes, which sometimes a phone won't accept. Confirm with your mobile carrier that you can receive short codes.
- Try logging in to the institution’s website from a private browser window or new device, which should trigger the MFA flow. You'll be able to see whether or not you're able to receive a security code directly.
If you've tried all the above troubleshooting and you're still not receiving the passcode, send us a message with the following information:
- Financial institution name.
- Type of account(s): checking, savings, credit card, etc.)
- Brief description of the issue.
