How long do ACH transfers take?

There are three different types of ACH transfers. The cut-off time for ACH Transactions is 3:00 pm ET. If an ACH is originated on a non-business day, the transaction will be considered initiated the following business day.

ACH Deposit

An ACH deposit, or pull, involves pulling funds from connected external bank accounts. These transfers usually take 2 business days to process.

ACH Payment

An ACH Payment, or push, involves pushing or sending funds out of Sequence and into an external account. These transfers are sent Same-Day ACH.

Incoming ACH transfers

An incoming ACH transfer involves receiving funds from an external payer. These transactions can take 0-3 business days to reflect in your account balance.

**Please be aware that payments to liability accounts can take up to 7 business days to process and post to your account. Be sure to take this into consideration when creating rules for liability accounts.**
